WATCH: Police Respond to “Suicidal” Weinstein Nick Step / CCL

Harvey Weinstein’s career and reputation is in shambles. And apparently he can’t take the heat.

According to footage obtained by the Daily MailWeinstein’s daughter called the police Wednesday, saying her father was suicidal. He even tried to flag down a passing motorist, trying to escape from her house.

It’s sad to see such a titan brought so low. Or, rather, it would be – if he wasn’t a serial abuser of women.

Folding under pressure

According to the Mail:

Members of the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the home of Harvey Weinstein’s oldest daughter on Wednesday morning for a welfare call.

That visit was prompted by a 911 call from Lily Weinstein, 22, to authorities stating that her father was suicidal according to TMZ.

Weinstein and his daughter had been in a heated argument earlier that morning, which riled up the disgraced movie mogul so much that he began to flag down a random driver and demanded that the man take him away in his vehicle.

“You’re making it worse,” Harvey allegedly screamed at his daughter, who was eventually able to get him back in the house.

The LAPD arrived around 10:30 a.m., and remained for a half-hour.

“Sex addiction” – or sexual assault?

Weinstein was expected to be in Europe Tuesday, to seek treatment for his “sex addiction”. Why he canceled his plans and instead visited his daughter isn’t known.

Harvey’s now believed to be checking into The Meadows clinic near Wickenburg, Arizona – the same facility Tiger Woods attended after his famous drunk-driving incident.

“I have chosen to leave my husband”

Harvey’s meltdown may have been prompted by the news that his wife Georgina has decided to leave him.

As she told People:

My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.

A source close to the Weinsteins told Page Six:

Georgina always knew Harvey was no angel, but she was genuinely shocked and horrified by the number of women making claims against him, and the serious nature of the allegations.

At least one of them has some integrity.

Cop out

“Treatment for sex addiction” is exactly the kind of non-punishment that famous, wealthy predators like Weinstein receive.

If there’s any justice left in this country, he’ll be investigated and prosecuted for sexual assault the same way a poorer man would be.

You want to talk about the 1 percent? Look at the immunity visited on rich liberals. It’s inhumane.
