While President Donald Trump addressed the American people from the White House about the dangers at the U.S.-Mexico border, adult film star Stormy Daniels was responding the only way she knows how: by folding laundry in her underwear.

Daniels, who claims that she was paid to keep quiet about a 2006 affair with Trump, announced Tuesday afternoon that she would be hosting a live Instagram feed while folding laundry in her underwear. “If you’re looking for anything even remotely worth watching tonight at 9pm EST. I will be folding laundry in my underwear for 8 minutes on Instagram Live,” she wrote.

Airing her dirty laundry

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has plenty of reasons to want to upstage the president. She lost a defamation lawsuit against Trump earlier this year, and in December a judge ordered that Daniels must pay nearly $300,000 in legal fees and penalties for filing the meritless lawsuit.

Using an attorney, Daniels sought to blackmail Trump ahead of the 2016 election by threatening to go public about the alleged affair. She accepted a $130,000 in exchange for signing a nondisclosure agreement. After Trump won the election, Daniels was suddenly interested in violating the terms of her hush money payment and cashing in on Trump’s celebrity.

After Daniels repeatedly violated the terms of her nondisclosure agreement by appearing for interviews and discussing the lurid details of her alleged affair, Trump eventually agreed not to enforce the legal document.

But Daniels isn’t done cashing in on her notoriety. As promised, the porn actress — who has appeared in more than 275 adult films — appeared scantily-clad late Tuesday night to fold her laundry in front of approximately 14,000 adoring fans.

It was a low-budget production. Daniels appeared in grainy Instagram Live footage, in a threadbare bedroom with an overloud version of Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Getting Back Together” blaring in the background.

Snack time

Daniels ended her production by munching on a bag of Cheetos, downing the orange-colored snackfood in a lowbrow reference to the president’s skin tone. But while the acknowledged Trump-hater was entertaining a small audience on social media, the president was busy addressing the nation on every major U.S. broadcast network.

“This is a humanitarian crisis — a crisis of the heart and a crisis of the soul,” Trump said, explaining why the country needs $5.7 billion to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

“The federal government remains shut down for one reason and one reason only: because Democrats will not fund border security,” he continued. “The only solution is for Democrats to pass a spending bill that defends our borders and reopens the government.”

Ultimately, Daniels’ sordid story will be reduced to a historical footnote. Decades from now, no one will remember the porn star who sought to restore her downward-trending career by airing her dirty laundry. Certainly, no one will remember her folding it.
