Rosie O’Donnell graced Twitter with some more of her anti-Trump vitriol on Wednesday.
The actress and long-time Trump rival said that the president should “rot in jail” and gleefully anticipated the conclusion of Robert Mueller’s probe into alleged collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign team and the Kremlin, adding the hashtag: #MuellerIsComing.
Rosie O’Donnell: Trump should rot
O’Donnell was responding to a tweet from a Daily Beast writer claiming that Trump doesn’t care about the ballooning federal deficit because he won’t be in office to clean up the mess.
“When President Trump has literally been shown data and charts by senior officials showing what year(s) the debt is expected to explode, Trump has referenced the first year & said ‘yeah, but I won’t be here.’ That’s a direct quote,” The Daily Beast’s Asawin Suebsaeng said.
The president, who has blocked Rosie on Twitter, likely did not see Rosie’s response:

It isn’t clear what connection Rosie meant to draw between the claim about the federal budget and Mueller’s probe. Some have argued that Trump’s tax cuts are driving the deficit up, but his economic policy has nothing to do with collusion or impeachable offenses.
It is more likely that O’Donnell was just expressing a general hatred of the president, a feeling shared by many on the left who hope that Mueller will fulfill their wish to impeach Trump any day now simply because they don’t like him.
“Trump Derangement Syndrome” may not be in any psychologists’ manuals, but it seems hardly coincidental that the celebrities raging against “madman” Trump don’t seem very happy or healthy themselves. Actor Jim Carrey, whose career has taken a strange and dark turn, joined O’Donnell on Wednesday in begging for Mueller to put Trump in jail:

Bitter Trump critic
O’Donnell’s career has seen better days, too, but she has been in the news occasionally, generally whenever she has something outrageous to say about the president. The actress told MSNBC in October that Trump was “evil” and said that she felt nauseous when he won the election in 2016.
“I actually got physically sick that night. I thought to myself, this cannot be happening,” she said. “When he got the nomination, I thought I just have to wait until election day. And then he won. It took a good year to compose myself in public again. I took a year out of the spotlight.”
O’Donnell also joked that she wanted to send the military to arrest Trump at the White House after he suggested closing the border. The comedian previously called for martial law to be instated after Trump won the election, arguing that the military should assume control of the country until it could be proven that the Russians did not interfere in the election.
In a bizarre self-own, the actress even joined performers from Hamilton and other Broadway shows outside the White House in August to sing songs from Les Miserables. Also that month, she said that Trump is “a horrible, horrible human with no soul. He has a very serious mental disorder.”
In addition to calling Trump mentally ill and evil, O’Donnell has also drawn on her stunningly original wit to compare Trump to Adolf Hitler and the members of his administration to boot-licking Nazis.
“if u stand next 2 and work with adolf trump – yes u [f******] are a nazi,” she tweeted in 2017.
