Barron Trump was spotted walking off Air Force One with the president and first lady in Washington on Sunday after a family weekend getaway. This is the first time Barron has been photographed alongside his parents since June.

The first family had spent the weekend in Bedminster, NJ, where the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, owned and operated by The Trump Organization, is located.

They flew from Bedminster to Morristown Airport in Marine One, then boarded Air Force One to fly from Morristown, NJ to Washington.

A casual Sunday

Photographs of the family debarking Air Force One showed Barron in a white collared shirt tucked into khakis and grey New Balance sneakers. Mom Melania Trump was also dressed casually, with white pants, a green turtleneck, aviator sunglasses, and white Adidas Stan Smith sneakers that showed just how tall her son has gotten.

The Trumps were also accompanied on the return trip by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a one-time critic of the president. But the senator and president reportedly played a “quick round of golf” in New Jersey, and the president said he “really likes” Paul, according to the White House.

Paul was photographed boarding Air Force One shortly before the first family in a blue cap bearing the logo of Trump’s Bedminster golf course.

Growing fast

Summer is almost over for Barron, who is expected to begin seventh grade at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, MD in September. He is the first child of a president to attend the private school, and is Donald and Melania Trump’s only son together.

Like his father and mother, Barron is tall — and growing fast. By picture estimates, the president’s son, who turned 12 in March, is taller than his mother, who is 5’11”, and nearly as tall as his father, who is 6’2”.

Barron is the first son of a president to live in the White House since former President John F. Kennedy’s son, John F. Kennedy, Jr., lived there in the early 1960s. Former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton all had only daughters, and other recent presidents had only adult sons who lived outside the White House.

Barron lived at Trump Tower in New York for several months after his father became president before moving to the White House with his mother in summer 2017, after his school term had ended. Since then, he has largely remained out of the public eye, making photos like those taken on Sunday a rarity.
