Fox News weekend host Judge Jeanine Pirro joined the co-hosts of “Fox & Friends” on Friday to discuss the latest reports regarding House Democrats’ efforts to keep secret the identity of the so-called “whistleblower” who filed a hearsay-based complaint alleging wrongdoing in President Donald Trump’s July phone call with the Ukrainian president, Breitbart reported.
Pirro held nothing back as she ripped the anonymous “whistleblower” — who is reportedly a CIA analyst — for being at the heart of an intelligence agency-led “coup” against the president.
Pirro wasted no time in expressing her thoughts on reports that House Democrats intended to keep the whistleblower’s identity a secret even as that individual testified, either by having the closed-door testimony done in writing or by way of hiding the appearance and disguising the voice of the person.
“I mean, give me a break. Who is this guy? Number one, he’s a CIA person, OK?” Pirro said. “What we’re experiencing right now is the CIA, an intelligence agency, is attempting a coup against the United States president. And that is what is going on here. This is intelligence agencies trying to take out a president.”
“The bottom line is, who is he afraid of? They always try to make themselves victims. Everybody’s a victim. You know, I was a prosecutor for 150 years. Every criminal I ever tried was a victim,” she joked.
“You’re not a victim. You need to come out,” Pirro added. “You know, Barack Obama, I was just reading this morning, he fired whistleblowers. Now in this administration, we’re not even entitled to know who they are.”
The whole thing “reeks of politics”
The judge went on to point out the so-called whistleblower’s complaint was “nothing more than hearsay” and noted that the individual had connections to former Vice President Joe Biden and was being represented by liberal Trump-hating attorneys.
“This is absurd,” Pirro said. “The best evidence is the transcript. The president was open, he was willing and transparent and said, ‘Here it is, here’s what I said. Now what.'”
She proceeded to dismiss the alleged concerns over the “personal safety” of the whistleblower to be nothing more than “hogwash,” and argued that the manner in which the individual’s identity and connections were being kept secret “reeks of politics.”
“My money is on him”
Making the case that the whole thing was political, Pirro said, “When they decide they want to take down a president, that is political, especially 13 months before an election. Really? After we just spent two years trying to figure out if he was a Putin puppet or a Russian asset. I mean, please.”
She further argued that what Democrats were doing was a “coup” instead of an impeachment in light of the fact that they were denying the president his right to due process or allowing his attorneys to be present to cross-examine witnesses or call witnesses of their own.
In the end, Pirro called for a full impeachment vote on the House floor — which would force all Democrat members to go on the record — and expressed her confidence that President Trump would survive whatever Democrats tried to throw at him. “My money is on him,” she said.
