Cocaine pipe found in car rented by Joe Biden’s son in 2016: police report U.S. Embassy Romania / CCL

Robert “Hunter” Biden, son of former vice president and 2020 hopeful Joe Biden, has been linked to drugs in the past, albeit without proof. Now we have hard evidence.

A previously unpublicized police report, obtained first by Breitbart News, reveals that a cocaine pipe was found in a rental car returned by Hunter Biden just days before the 2016 presidential election.

Criminal evidence found

According to the police report, Hunter rented the car from a Hertz in California and returned it (sort of), just hours later, in Prescott, Arizona on October 28, 2016.

Rather than depositing the keys in the drop box, Hunter took a slightly different approach, putting them in the gas tank compartment. Then, the following day, one “Joseph McGee” telephoned the rental company to help locate the keys, explaining that “his friend was feeling sick so they didn’t know what to do.”

Inside the vehicle, sitting on the passenger seat, was a driver’s license, a Delaware attorney general badge, a U.S. Secret Service business card, a cell phone, credit cards … and a pipe, which police described as “a small white and brown pipe approximately 3-4 inches long.” Next to it was “a small ziplock bag with a white powdery substance inside.”

No charges

An investigation ensued by authorities in Arizona. Upon inspection, the pipe yielded no fingerprints. It was, however, found to have been used to smoke cocaine.

Despite this being a criminal offense, prosecutors decided not to file charges against Hunter, whom, of course, they were unable to reach at the time.

Whether or not this, or the fact that he was Joe Biden’s son, played a role in the decision remains unclear.

Not the first time

Hunter’s drug problems have received media attention in the past.

In 2012, in order to join the Navy Reserves, he was given a waiver for a “drug-related incident when he was a young man.” But it turned out that Hunter, at the time, was still using, causing him to fail a random drug test by testing positive for cocaine just a month later. He was then discharged.

In 2017, Hunter Biden’s now ex-wife Kathleen accused him of using drugs in divorce papers filed at the time when Hunter was having an affair with Hallie Biden, the widow of his late brother Beau.

In the filings, Kathleen accused him of spending “extravagantly on his own interests (including drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, strip clubs, and gifts for women with whom he has sexual relations).”
