Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-N.Y.) has labeled the National Rifle Association (NRA) and its spokeswoman Dana Loesch “domestic security threats.” Loesch was stunned – but not silenced.

In fact, just the opposite. Loesch took to Fox News and called for Rice to resign over her hysterical and inappropriate rhetoric.

Who are you calling extreme?

The NRA has millions of members. Loesch thinks it’s absurd and offensive for a U.S. lawmaker to brand all of these American citizens as a threat to domestic security.

She was eloquent in explaining it too:

I and millions of other men and women across the country – we belong to a group of like-minded individuals that support and advocate for the Second Amendment. That’s who we are. We believe in the rights the men and women in uniform fight for every single day.

By the way, a lot of those men and women in uniform are members of the NRA.

For whom the bell tolls

Rice’s threat is ominous, because people who are labeled domestic threats can be stripped of rights without trial – including the ability to board an aircraft.

Loesch continued:

We’ve reached out and we have asked her office, is she going to send special police to arrest us? What does this mean? Am I going to be placed on a no-fly list?

And, Mark, this is a congresswoman who, in her area, MS-13 is killing black and Hispanic men. And yet she has harsher words for me, and for NRA members, than she does for MS-13.

Loesch a ‘domestic security threat’? Dana responds

Radio host fires back at Democratic Rep. Kathleen Rice, who called her and the NRA a threat to national security #Tucker

Is this what keeps you up at night?

To violate Loesch’s Constitutional rights so flippantly would be egregious in itself, but Rice’s accusation is a reflection on who Democrats would place on their enemies’ list, according to Loesch:

I didn’t call for jihad. I didn’t burn down my college campus. I haven’t destroyed any private property in protesting the inauguration of President Trump. All of that is okay. But when you promise to fact-check the media in the United States of America, a sitting Democrat congressional member might label you a domestic threat.

I’ve just never seen anything like this before. How free are a people, Mark, if you’re not free to fact-check and criticize your press?

Come get me

Loesch ended the segment by issuing a challenge to Rice – and calling for her to do the right thing: step down.

“I have only one question for Congresswoman Rice. Is she going to come and arrest me? I’m in Dallas. If you find me that threatening, Congresswoman, come and arrest me,” Loesch said. “She needs to resign.”

She sure does

Aside from the NRA’s millions of paid supporters, there are many millions more who support the work they do to defend the Second Amendment.

No one who would consider all such Constitution-loving Americans a threat to our national security should serve in our government. Time to go, Mrs. Rice.
